How We Work
Openness. Integrity. Community.
At Storykeepers Community CIC, we believe the way we work is just as important as the work we do.
Every project we deliver is built on trust. Participants trust us with their stories, partners trust us to deliver meaningful community programmes, and funders trust us to use their support responsibly. We take that responsibility seriously.
Our approach is guided by a commitment to openness, accountability and respect. We believe that organisations should be transparent about how they operate, the standards they uphold and the decisions they make. That's why we've chosen to make our policies and governance documents publicly available, allowing anyone to understand the values, procedures and principles that shape our work.
Whether we're working with a child writing their first story, an older person sharing a lifetime of memories, or a community coming together through creativity, we aim to create welcoming, inclusive and professionally delivered experiences where every participant feels safe, valued and respected.
As Storykeepers continues to grow, we remain committed to learning, improving and listening. Good governance isn't something we see as a box to tick; it's the foundation that allows us to build meaningful partnerships, earn the confidence of our communities and create projects that have a lasting impact.
Our documents set out the commitments we make to everyone who works with us. Together, they reflect the organisation we strive to be: one that is transparent, accountable and worthy of the stories entrusted to its care.
Our Commitments
Everything we do is underpinned by a simple promise:
We will act with integrity.
We will treat every person with dignity and respect.
We will safeguard the people who place their trust in us.
We will be open, accountable and transparent in our decisions.
We will use our resources responsibly to maximise community benefit.
We will continually learn, improve and listen to the communities we serve.
