Stories Through Time

Stories Through Time is an intergenerational heritage and wellbeing project dedicated to preserving the memories, experiences and wisdom of older generations before they are lost. Working closely with care homes, community groups and families, the project provides opportunities for older people to share their life stories through one-to-one conversations, group reminiscence sessions, writing, photography and creative expression.

Every participant's memories are treated with care and respect, transforming treasured moments into professionally produced books that can be shared with loved ones and preserved for future generations. More than simply recording personal histories, Stories Through Time celebrates lives, strengthens family connections and creates lasting legacies that honour the people and communities who have shaped our world.

Alongside the published collections, the project aims to foster meaningful relationships between generations through community events, exhibitions and creative activities, encouraging people of all ages to value the stories, experiences and perspectives of older members of our communities. By preserving these voices today, we ensure that future generations inherit not only the history found in books, but the lived experiences, humour, resilience and humanity that might otherwise be lost forever.
